An Authority regarding traditional Okinawan
Karate & Kobudo, as well as, Brazilian Jiujitsu.

Royce Gracie & Simon Sherbourne (2004)
Martial Arts have evolved over time to suit the demands of society. There is clearly a growing trend that requires Martial Artists (Budo-ka) to be versed in a larger repetoire of skills and knowledge than a single art can provide.
The World Karate Kobudo Jiujitsu Federation (WKKJF) was formed by a committed group of Budo-ka to provide practitioners with a forum to share and learn traditional Okinawan Karate, Okinawan Kobudo (with direct lineage to Okinawa) and Brazilian Jiujitsu as taught by Royce Gracie. Teaching practices cultivate mixed martial arts skills, character developement, and leadership skills in an environment of mutual respect.
The programs and teachings will assist you in reaching your performance potential and build a repetoire of self defence skills that meet the ever changing demands of the martial arts world.
Mixed Martial Arts Techniques are derived by combining Karate, Muay Thai, Sabaki, Wrestling, and Brazilian Jiujitsu. Some simple examples of technique series can viewed on the Bunkai Page of the Hombu Dojo at www.sherbournedojo.com (more in depth analysis of Kata Bunkai and MMA technique series is provided in instructional videos (** coming soon!**).
Get affiliated and receive some of the best training and martial arts skills available in the world! The WKKJF serves as a forum to preserve the Empty Hand Kata, and Kobudo Kata (with direct lineage to Okinawa), as well as Brazilian Jiujitsu as taught by Royce Gracie.

Educational research strongly indicates that the best way to enhance student learning is through improved instructional practices. Basically, this means that student learning is improved when instructors engage in improving their teaching practices through a network of professionals that can share and grow together.
The WKKJF facilitates enhancing instructional practices through:
